No Peace

Biggest enemy

For your fighting me

And all I want is for us to be free

But your blinded by the White Sea

Who tell hundreds of lies just to keep you in their seams.

For they where never what they seemed

With their light eyes and pink cheeks

But hearts darker than the stained blood seats of your ancestors who tried hard to break the shackles at their feet.

The blood runs deep.

Deeper than the hatred that keeps me paralyzed when I think of the horrid deaths in my dreams of the people before me who fought so I could have a little peace.

But what’s a little peace when I’m sacrificing my sleep for the lost of today who still don’t understand Malcom’s words of no peace without freedom

Because that’s all I want

For us to walk amongst the day without the stress of being another black in the street with a target on his back brighter than the sun for all to see.
